My favorite G3 ponies, in a G4 design.

Star Catcher, the superpegasus magical pony
Minty, the ditzy Christmas pony
Sunny Daze, the extreme life pony (the REAL Sunny Daze, not that little orange filly from Show Stoppers)
Thistle Whistle, the dorky little pegasus with a speech impediment
Wysteria, the shy, nature loving pony

I'm sick of all the G3 bashing, it may not be FIM but it's good to know your history. So I figured a way to get the bronies to stop the bashing, because they're insecure in their fandom so they feel the need to slam previous generations, make them into the G4 style.

I am a filthy filthy tracefag, and I'm not sorry. I was working on character designs, not original poses.

Fantastic piece! I agree with you one-hudred twenty percent that these are the best ponies, at least for their generation. I also like your little descriptions of them. I love how you turned the old ponies into 'Generation-Four-Style'. It looks cute and fun!
You did a great job coloring the ponies, as well. You also did a perfect job with Wysteria's mane and tail.
In addition, you did an awesome job capturing each of their personalities, which is difficult when you don't have the motion and sound of animation. Their poses and facial expressions are just right. Star Catcher has that mystical and kind look on her face while Sunny Daze is being a total show-off like always.
All together this is an amazing piece and I love it a lot. Keep up the great work!

Wow! This is a amazing piece of artwork! I could see these pony came out of you imagination which is great! The vision of the artwork came out very good, I love how the colors pop out of the screen when you first see it! The only thing that i was disappointed about is that I saw every type of pony EXCEPT a unicorn. As for the originality this is a very original piece. I love the names and the description of the pony as well as the Cutie Marks. The technique was 5-star perfect, good job! All in all the impact is amazing and gives a new perspective to MLP-FiM! Keep up the good work fellow deviant! :)

I REMEMBER THREE OF THEM XD I had Minty and Wysteria (and still have them!) and Star Catcher on a backpack!!! SECOND GRADE NOSTALGIA!!! Anyways, these are great!! Love the sparkles on Star Catcher's wings :)
